Privacy Notice for FPL Nepal
Exactly what the FPL Nepal app does with your information: there is no account, your team ID and settings stay on your device, and the optional banner ads are explained plainly below.
FPL Nepal (“the app”) is a companion app for Nepal’s fantasy football community, developed and published by AlphergMirai, a software studio operating from Japan. This notice sits alongside our studio privacy policy; where the two differ, this notice governs the app. It applies to version 1.0 and later.
1. The short version
The app has no account and never asks for a password, name or email address. The team ID you enter and your settings are kept on your device. To show scores and tables, the app downloads publicly available fantasy football information. Banner ads are provided by Google AdMob, and the app may ask whether you allow tracking for more relevant ads; the app works the same whichever you choose. A one-time Remove Ads purchase is handled entirely by Apple.
2. Linking your team
To personalise the app you may enter your public fantasy football team ID (a number). It is not a login: no password is requested and the app cannot change your team or make transfers. The ID is saved on your device so the app opens to your team next time. You can unlink or switch team at any time in Account. The planner only stores your ideas on your device; it never submits anything.
3. Information kept on your device
The app saves the following only in its own storage on your device. We do not receive it.
- your team ID and whether you have seen the welcome message;
- recently downloaded scores, fixtures, tables and competition information, kept so the app opens quickly and works briefly offline (saved copies older than two weeks are removed automatically);
- your planner ideas for upcoming gameweeks;
- your reminder and notification choices, matches you follow, and whether you bought Remove Ads.
4. Information the app downloads
To show scores, fixtures, player statistics, mini-leagues and FPL Nepal competition tables, the app downloads publicly available fantasy football information from online services, including the FPL Nepal community’s own web service, which AlphergMirai operates. When you have linked a team, these requests include that team ID or the ID of a league you are viewing, together with the standard technical information every internet request carries (such as IP address and device type).
The FPL Nepal web service may keep standard server logs (for example IP address, time and the address requested) for up to 30 days for security and troubleshooting. We do not combine these logs with other information, use them for advertising or sell them. Player photos and club badges are loaded as images from the internet in the same way.
5. Banner ads (Google AdMob)
The app shows a small banner above the tab bar on some screens and one banner in the competition hub. There are no full-screen or video ads. Banners are provided by Google AdMob (Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited). To request, show and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, Google’s software in the app may process information such as:
- device information (model, operating system, language) and an app-scoped device identifier;
- your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking (see section 6);
- IP address and the approximate location derived from it;
- ad interactions (whether an ad loaded, was shown or tapped) and diagnostic data such as load times and errors.
Google processes this information under its own policies: see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy. We only receive aggregated, non-identifying reports (for example, how many banners were shown). Your team ID is never shared with Google.
6. Tracking permission and ad choices
Apple’s tracking permission. The app may show Apple’s “Allow tracking?” prompt. If you allow it, Google may use your device’s advertising identifier to show more relevant ads and measure them. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, the identifier is not shared and you may see less relevant ads. Every feature works the same either way. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland. If you are in these regions, the app shows Google’s consent message before any ad is requested, where you can accept or decline personalised advertising. You can change your choice later in the app under Account → Ad privacy choices.
7. Remove Ads purchase
Remove Ads is a one-time, optional in-app purchase. Payment is handled entirely by Apple through your Apple ID; we never see your card or payment details. The app checks Apple’s record of your purchase on your device to hide banners, and Restore purchases asks Apple for that record again. Apple may share anonymous sales reports with us.
8. Reminders and Live Activities
Deadline reminders are optional. If you allow notifications, reminders are scheduled on your iPhone itself from each gameweek’s published deadline; no notification server is involved and nothing about your reminders is sent to us. You can turn all notifications off in Account → Notifications or in iOS Settings.
Live Activities for matches you choose to follow run on your device and are updated by the app while it is open. They are stored and shown by iOS on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island.
9. What the app does not do
- It has no account and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number or password.
- It does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone or photo library.
- It contains no analytics SDK other than the Google software needed for banner ads.
- It has no chat or messaging with other people.
- It never submits transfers or changes your fantasy team.
- We do not sell your personal information.
10. Apple services
Apple may process App Store, purchase, download, device-backup and diagnostic information under Apple’s own privacy policy and your device settings. If you have chosen in iOS Settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may provide us with anonymous crash reports, which we use only to fix problems.
11. Children
FPL Nepal is a general-audience app for fantasy football players. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. If you are a parent and have a concern, please contact us.
12. Deleting your data
Tap Unlink in Account to remove your team ID from the app. Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device, including saved information, planner ideas and settings; offloading the app may keep it. Apple device backups may retain or restore app data according to your iCloud or computer backup settings. To control information processed by Google, see My Ad Center. You can reset your advertising identifier by turning tracking off for all apps in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
13. Your rights
Because we hold no personal information from the app other than short-lived server logs, there is normally nothing for us to access, correct or delete. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or Japan’s APPI) you have rights over your information; for data processed by Google or Apple, please use their tools and contacts linked above. If you contact our support, we use what you send only to answer you, as described in our studio privacy policy, and you can ask us to delete it at any time by writing to privacy@alphergmirai.com. We respond within 30 days.
14. Changes to this notice
If a future version changes what the app does with information (for example by adding push notifications for live scores, or new partners), we will update this notice and its effective date before that version is released, and describe the change in the release notes.
