Privacy Policy
How AlphergMirai collects, uses and protects personal information on this website and in the course of working with the people who contact us.
1. Who we are and what this covers
AlphergMirai (“AlphergMirai”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is a software studio that designs and engineers applications, platforms and systems for other organisations.
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you:
- visit alphergmirai.com or any page on this site;
- contact us through the form on this site, or by email;
- enquire about working with us, or work with us as a client.
This website has no accounts and nothing to sign up for. It is a description of what we do and a way to reach us — nothing more.
Where we build or operate software for a client, the client is the controller of the information inside their product and their own privacy policy applies to it; we act as a service provider or processor under our agreement with them.
2. The short version
We collect as little as we can. We do not sell personal information, share it with data brokers, or run advertising trackers on this site. Almost everything we hold is something you deliberately sent us — a message asking a question. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Information you give us
- Contact details — your name, email address, and the organisation you mention, when you write to us or use the contact form.
- The content of your message — what you tell us about your project, question or request, including anything you attach to a follow-up email.
- Client correspondence — if we go on to work together, the ordinary business contact details and project correspondence that relationship requires.
The contact form does not store anything on this website. Your message is handed straight to our mail server and delivered to our inbox, along with the date and the IP address the message came from, which we keep only to identify and block automated abuse.
3.2 Information collected automatically
- Server logs — IP address, request time, requested page, referrer and browser user agent, recorded by our host for security and reliability.
- Aggregate usage — if we run analytics, which pages were viewed and for how long, configured so it does not identify you personally.
3.3 What we do not collect here
This site does not ask for or receive payment details, government identifiers, precise location, health information, or any special category data such as information about your health, religion, ethnicity, political opinions or sexual orientation. Please do not send us such information in a message.
4. How we use information
| Purpose | What this means in practice |
|---|---|
| Answering you | Reading your message, replying to it, and following up on the conversation. |
| Working together | If we take on a project, the correspondence and contact details that running it requires. |
| Keeping the site up | Diagnosing errors, measuring performance, and defending against abuse and automated attacks. |
| Improving what we publish | Understanding, in aggregate, which pages are useful so we can write better ones. |
| Legal compliance | Meeting obligations under applicable law and responding to lawful requests. |
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not track you across other companies' websites. We will not add you to a mailing list because you wrote to us.
5. Legal bases for processing
Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on:
- Legitimate interests — to answer enquiries, run our business, and keep this site secure and working, balanced against your rights.
- Performance of a contract — where we are working with you or preparing to.
- Consent — for anything optional, such as non-essential analytics, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Legal obligation — where the law requires us to retain or disclose information.
In Japan we handle personal information in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI), and will not use it beyond the purposes described here without telling you.
6. When information is shared
We share personal information only in these situations:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf under contract — hosting, form delivery, email and analytics.
- Legal requirements — where required by law, court order or a lawful government request, or where disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or someone's safety.
- Business transfer — if our business is transferred, merged or acquired, information may transfer with it; we will give notice before it becomes subject to a different policy.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
7. Service providers we rely on
This site is deliberately simple, so the list is short.
| Category | What they see |
|---|---|
| Static web hosting and CDN | Server logs: IP address, requested page, user agent |
| Mail delivery | Your name, email address and message, in transit to our inbox |
| Your email address and the content of your correspondence | |
| Privacy-respecting analytics, if enabled | Aggregate page views, with IP addresses truncated or anonymised |
Each provider is bound by its agreement with us to process data only on our instructions and to apply appropriate safeguards. We will name the specific providers on request.
8. How long we keep information
- Enquiries and correspondence — up to 24 months after our last exchange, so we can pick up a conversation where it left off.
- Client project records — for the duration of the engagement and for as long afterwards as our agreement and the law require.
- Server and security logs — typically 90 days.
- Records we must keep by law — for the period the relevant law requires.
Backups rotate on a fixed schedule; information deleted from live systems disappears from backups as those backups expire, normally within 90 days.
9. Security
We protect information with measures appropriate to its sensitivity: encryption in transit (TLS) across the whole site, encryption at rest where information is stored, least-privilege access, multi-factor authentication on our own accounts, and regular dependency and infrastructure updates.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority where the law requires it, without undue delay.
10. International transfers
We operate from Japan and work with people and providers in several countries, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live — including in Japan, the European Union, the United States, Singapore, India, the Philippines and Bangladesh.
Where we transfer personal information out of the EEA, the UK or another region with transfer restrictions, we rely on an adequacy decision where one exists, or on Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent safeguards with the receiving party.
11. Children's privacy
This site is intended for businesses and professionals. It is not directed to children under 13 (or the higher minimum age that applies where you live), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to privacy@alphergmirai.com and we will delete it promptly.
12. Your rights and choices
Subject to the law that applies to you, you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you, and receive a copy;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- delete your information, including any message you have sent us;
- port it to another provider in a structured, machine-readable format;
- object to or restrict certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — straightforward for us, because we do neither;
- not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise a right, email privacy@alphergmirai.com from the address you used to contact us. We respond within 30 days, and may ask you to verify your identity first. You may authorise an agent to act for you, with proof of authorisation.
If you are in the EEA or UK you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In Japan, you may contact the Personal Information Protection Commission.
13. Cookies and analytics
This website uses only what it needs to work. There are no advertising cookies, no third-party ad networks and no cross-site tracking here. Where we use analytics, it is configured to avoid collecting information that identifies you, and IP addresses are truncated or anonymised where the provider supports it.
You can control cookies through your browser settings at any time. Blocking them will not stop this site from working.
14. Products we publish
We build software of our own as well as for clients. Any application or product we publish under the AlphergMirai name will carry its own privacy notice, written for what that product actually does, linked from the product itself and from its store listing. That notice governs the product; this policy governs the website.
The commitments here carry over: we will collect the least we can, say plainly what we collect and why, and never sell it or use it to track you elsewhere.
15. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices change or the law requires it. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. If a change materially affects how we handle your personal information, we will give notice on this site before it takes effect.
16. How to contact us

- Privacy enquiries: privacy@alphergmirai.com

We aim to acknowledge every privacy enquiry within two business days.
