Privacy Notice for NepaTraffic
Exactly what the NepaTraffic game does with your information: your progress stays on your device, and the optional hint videos are explained plainly below.
NepaTraffic (“the app”) is a traffic puzzle game set in the streets of Kathmandu, developed and published by AlphergMirai, a software studio operating from Japan. This notice sits alongside our studio privacy policy; where the two differ, this notice governs the app. It applies to version 1.0 and later.
1. The short version
We (AlphergMirai) do not collect, receive or store your personal information. The game has no account and keeps your progress on your device. The one feature that involves another company is optional hint videos provided by Google AdMob, shown only when you tap “Watch a video”. The app may ask whether you allow tracking for more relevant ads; the game works exactly the same whichever you choose.
2. Information kept on your device
To run the game, the app saves the following only in its own storage on your device. It is never sent to us.
- which levels you have completed, with your stars, best time, moves and score for each;
- your best scores in the Daily puzzle;
- how many hints you have;
- your sound, vibration and battery-saver settings, and the car colour you chose in the garage.
The Daily puzzle uses your device’s date to pick the day’s puzzle. It does not use your location or any online service.
3. Optional hint videos (Google AdMob)
When you run out of hints, you may choose to watch a short video to earn one. Videos are shown only after you tap “Watch a video”. There are no banner ads and no forced full-screen ads, and you can always keep playing without watching.
The videos are provided by Google AdMob (Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited). So that a video is ready when you want one, Google’s software in the app prepares an ad in the background. To request, show and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, it may process information such as:
- device information (model, operating system, language) and an app-scoped device identifier;
- your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking (see section 4);
- IP address and the approximate location derived from it;
- ad interactions (whether an ad loaded, was shown, completed or tapped), and diagnostic data such as ad load times and errors.
Google processes this information under its own policies: see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy. We only receive aggregated, non-identifying reports (for example, how many videos were shown).
4. Tracking permission and ad choices
Apple’s tracking permission. When you first open the game, you may see a short explanation followed by Apple’s “Allow tracking?” prompt. If you allow it, Google may use your device’s advertising identifier to show more relevant ads and measure them. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, the identifier is not shared and you may see less relevant ads. Hints and every other part of the game work the same either way. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland. If you are in these regions, the app shows Google’s consent message before any ad is requested, where you can accept or decline personalised advertising. You can change your choice at any time in the game under Settings → Privacy choices.
5. What the app does not do
- It does not ask for your name, email address or any other contact details, and has no account.
- It does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone or photo library.
- It contains no analytics SDK other than the Google software needed for the hint videos.
- It has no in-app purchases and no chat or messaging with other players.
- We do not sell your personal information.
6. Apple services
Apple may process App Store, download, device-backup and diagnostic information under Apple’s own privacy policy and your device settings. If you have chosen in iOS Settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may provide us with anonymous crash reports, which we use only to fix problems.
7. Children
NepaTraffic is a general-audience game. It is not directed specifically at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Hint videos only appear when a player chooses to watch one. If you are a parent and have a concern, please contact us.
8. Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device, including your progress and hints; offloading the app may keep it. Apple device backups may retain or restore app data according to your iCloud or computer backup settings. To control information processed by Google, see My Ad Center. You can reset your advertising identifier by turning tracking off for all apps in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
9. Your rights
Because we hold no personal information from the app, there is normally nothing for us to access, correct or delete. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or Japan’s APPI) you have rights over your information; for data processed by Google or Apple, please use their tools and contacts linked above. If you contact our support, we use what you send only to answer you, as described in our studio privacy policy, and you can ask us to delete it at any time by writing to privacy@alphergmirai.com. We respond within 30 days.
10. Changes to this notice
If a future version changes what the app does with information (for example by adding Game Center leaderboards or in-app purchases), we will update this notice and its effective date before that version is released, and describe the change in the release notes.
